SDR-S150

Strengths: 3CCD, small size, 10x optical zoom with image stabilizer, recording to SD card in MPEG-2 format.

Weakness: average still images quality

SDR-S150 (and it's predecessor SDR-S100) is the only small size 3CCD camcorder with recording to SD (SDHC) card in MPEG-2 format. It has no analogs! This small thing is really well-made. It has a perfect Leica optics with 10x optical zoom and image stabilizer. Outdoor footage is excellent, indoor is good. And the best thing - you don't have to capture avi files from the camera and encode them in...

Very Nice Camcorder

Strengths: Using SD card, very portable

Weakness: Too small to fit in large hands

I have watched the Panasonic Camcorder SDR series for about two years since the model S100. I like its 3CCD and the usage of SD card. No background noise will be recorded because no rotatary motor is required for the media like DVDs, Harddisk, or tape. I got this S150 from B&H when it was on-sale with a bonus 4G Kingston SD card. The disadvantage for SD card is the time that it can record. For...

Worth every penny

Strengths: video and still picture quality; size; manual features

Weakness: Not many; maybe no mic input?

This is an excellent camcorder, particularly given it's size. I've only had it for about a week, so I haven't had a chance to really put it through it's paces, but so far I am very impressed. In good light the picture is excellent. Very good colors with sharp resolution. The quality suffers somehwat in low light, but since I don't shoot in the dark/at night it's not really an issue for me. I also...

SDR-S150

Strengths: 3CCDs, SIZE, SIZE & SIZE (all three dims), SDHC card recording

Weakness: Weak included software

This camera has SDHC capability. Just download the video and burn it to a CD or DVD to archive it (very easy) The video footage is great (outdoors at least). Indoors with normal lights the video is good (compared to canon GL2). Pictures are weak... The size is the camera's best strength. Pocket size with excellent video quality (forget all other "small" video cameras, this is the best). The...

SDR-S150 SD Camcorder - Review

Strengths: Compact size, Portability, Excellent video, MPEG2 format

Weakness: Less than average night-shot quality.

This camcorder is what I have been waiting for so many years. I needed to have compact camcorder with ability to record excellent video and above average still-shots. This product delivers what I've been searching. I have been using this for 1 month now, and outcome of video and still-shot does not disappoint me. I recommend this camcorder to all my friends.

Terrific Camcorder

Strengths: Portable design, Easy operation, Quick starting-up, Cool outlook

Weakness: still looking for

As soon as I get this camcorder, I realized that I really love it deeply. After testing it for days, it prove my intuiation is not wrong. I will bring it all the time, since it is even smaller than average camera. Certainly, the quality is awesome.

This is a VERY excellent camcorder.

Strengths: Small size, easy to control, excellent quality, cool!

Weakness: no detected till now

I once owned Canon ZR300, elura100 and Panasonic SDRS150, but only this one well satisfy my needs for vedeo and picture quality. Price is a little expensive, but absolutely worthwhile.

Panasonic SDR-S150

THE GOOD: Very compact for a 3CCD model; optical image stabilizer. THE BAD: Mediocre video and barely usable stills; poor battery life; slow focus. THE BOTTOM LINE: While compact and convenient, Panasonics SD-based SDR-S150 camcorder doesnt make the quality cut.

Panasonic SDR-S150

The biggest gripe about digital camcorders is the same problem users had with digital cameras just a few short years ago: getting files off the camera. With its SDR-S150 digital camcorder, Panasonic believes it has come up with a good answer: simply remove the memory card.
