Great Camcorder for the priceStrengths: Price, 25X Optical zoom, light weight Weakness: Not compatible with dvd+rw, not good for taking photos I have been using this gadget for a month. It has great features for the price. 25X optical zoom for a dvd camcorder is fantastic. You have to read the manual carefully before attempting to use it. Not complicated! Negative side: not a great performer under low light! Highly recommended.

Some good, some badStrengths: Feels good, easy to hold. Picture is good, but not great under low light. Can playback on your DVD player. Good sound. Weakness: Takes a LONG time to finalize the disc, and camcorder must be plugged in for you to do this. Picture not great under low light (ie inside) conditions. Doesn't work with all DVD players As far as the quality of the pictures and the recording, they are not bad. Not great indoor pictures, but not bad either. Picks up sound well, and is easy to use. One small point is the record button. It is not marked at all, and it took me a while to figure out what it did. My biggest problem with this camcorder (and why I think I might return it) is that it is very difficult to get the...

Canon DC100Strengths: Small and Lightweight Weakness: No ability to watch on your computer This camcorder is very nice in that it is very small, lightweight and has a good battery life. You record directly on DVD's. The only negative is you cannot watch on your computer and it doesnt come with a case.

Not so good, but cheapStrengths: Cheap, you can play it around, high quality Weakness: low image solution This camcorder is not so good as other Canon models. I was using Canon DC20 at the same time, its image quality is obviously higher than this model. But this one is the cheapest one in Canon's camcorders. So you can play it around.

Hard to editStrengths: Great picture, large lcd display, good price, a few of features Weakness: This camcorder will not let you transfer your video to programs like MircosoftMovie maker, you have to have it plugged in to finilaz it. I would not recommend it for people that like editing and making short movies, it is a fine camera. Another draw back is that there is no way to store the videos on the computer.

Nice CamcorderStrengths: Rates, camera, zoom Weakness: Output compatibilty. This camcorder is worth to buy on good rates. Its remarkably sleek looking camcorder, with a slender frame and great feel in the hand. The sharpness was very good, the colors was good. Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority are both available, Manual white balance is good. Still camera is not great but its good as per whatever is expected from camera with camcorder.

A decent camcorder for beginnersStrengths: Relatively cheap, good color, easy to operate Weakness: only .68MP solution, images are not clear This is a decent camcorder for beginners. The color is good, easy to operate, and cheap. But if you want a better image(video), you should choose other model, such as DC20.

VDR-D100Strengths: Not existed , directly write to DVD Weakness: no software that is big disadvantge I think VDR-d200 is best one than this one, because this doesn't software and not have SD card in it ,and only supports dvd -r only. no light for night times too.

I LIKE IT SO FARStrengths: SMALL SIZE , EASY TO HANDLE, LIGHT TO CARRY, GOOD ZOOM. Weakness: TAKES A BIT TOO LONG TO TURN ON AND GET READY TO RECORD SO IF YOU PLAN ON USING IT, BE PREPARED. I LIKE ITS SIZE AND IT IS EASY TO CARRY AROUND. IT TAKES A FEW SECOND TO START SO IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY TO RECORD SOMETHING, YOU HAVE TO BE PREPARED AHEAD OF TIME AND HAVE IT TURNED ON AND READY. THE BATTERY DO NOT LAST VERY LONG SO I THINK IT'S BETTER TO HAVE ANOTHER ONE CHARGED AND READY FOR BACK UP.

Very light machine that you can carry all day
Strengths: Very light weight and quiet. DVD for immediate viewing without cable.
Weakness: Expensive DVD disc and only 30 minutes for low capacity disc.
Love the weight. Until there is a good Hard drive based camcorder or later a flash based camcorder, DVD disc is the way to go. I can play on the computer without carry extra cable. Specially an advantage for while traveling. Battery life is not bad unless you have a lot of playback. The widescreen is definite advantage, however to me it is not a must have. DVD disc is very expensive since it is...
